Raging On: Fascism in the US

Hello, and welcome to another totally belated edition of Raging On. I apologize once again for slagging on my duties to provide satire and entertainment for the like-minded individuals who visit this page. Today's post isn't really my post. Actually its more of a link to someone else's account of an event that shows just how backwards-thinking this country can be. Its a couple weeks old, but it hasn't received any attention from the local media, so I felt this was a good place to help make light of a recent fleecing of our civil liberties. Fascism in Utah

This is fucked. How do they expect to get away with something like this? I am not a big fan of the rave scene myself (I love trance as much as the next person, but not enough to dance to it for hours on end), but considering the facts that they had security, all the necessary permits, permission from the land owner, AND a $2-million insurance policy to cover the event shows that this was less about a worry of breach of ethics and illegal activity and more about conservative, backwoods Mormon-slanted government stifling of a subculture they can't control. I for one hope they get their asses handed to them in a FEDERAL court of law, because lord knows taking this to a state court would be like preaching to a church mass that Satan is really a nice guy. So, feast on this nugget of oppression and hopefully we'll see PROPER justice prevail in the end.
